When to start collecting colostrum , and how ?

Hi ladies first time like . When did you start collecting colostrum for baby and how ? Do you use haaaka or hand express ? Or other method ? Pls help

I'm gonna be using one of these! Around 37 weeks is when you could start, talk to your ob first though. I didn't use one with my daughter but I'm wanting to use it this time around so I don't have to pump to get baby back to birth weight. Pumping cause d-mer for me so trying to avoid that.

Why are you collecting colostrum? Just curious. I've had 2 kids and never done it. I just feed them at the breast because that's most convenient.
