Best birth control?

I just had a baby a week ago and while I love being a mom I don’t want any more babies for a LONGGGG time! What’s the best birth control in your opinion? I took the pill for a short time a few years ago and I’m thinking about going back but I want others opinions and success stories or fails. Thank you!

IF I were to ever go back on BC I would do the Nuva ring. I’ve also done the Pill, Non-hormonal IUD and the Mirena IUD. I wasn’t consistent on the pill. Lost lots of weight on the Mirena and got it removed a few weeks after. I had the heaviest period and worst pain on the copper IUD (the 10yrs BC). Feels like a cramp when they insert it, then once in place you don’t feel it at all. Me personally, I wouldn’t recommend the IUD to anyone. Keep in mind it is a foreign object going into your body which doesn’t belong, and it could also move out of place and even pierce through the uterus wall

Before having kids I liked having a mirena iud, and that was after being on the pill for years. Getting it placed was uncomfortable and you will likely experience a contraction after it is passed through the cervix, but if you just went through labor and giving birth then you can definitely get through the placement, and I was crampy the rest of the day after it was inserted but nothing a few Advil couldn’t handle. I never had any issues while it was in, and the removal didn’t hurt at all, I just had a really heavy period after it was removed, but I had super light barely existent periods while it was in.

For me IUD is the safest route. The pills were good for me but after my first they made me so sick I stopped taking them and just went with nothing until getting pregnant again so I can go back to the IUD or my husband gets snipped.
