Latching wrong??

Question

My daughter (4 weeks old) is EBF & most feeds (mainly at night!) my nipple will be in her mouth but she'll have her mouth wide open & moves her head about like she's searching for it. Is there something wrong with the latch? Or..? Can anyone please help?

My son does it too. Eventually he realizes he has it and latches down.

My son does that too... At first I was worried but come to find out he just likes to play around. Lol! As long she's gaining weight, has enough wet/dirty diapers, she should be fine. BTW, my son is 5 weeks old and 11pounds with a starting weight of 7lbs. You'll be okay:)

It's hard to help when you can't see what she is doing. Maybe contact a lactation  consultant in your area. They are so fantastic with helping with these things
