Dad Has His Heart Set on Odd Middle Name...

My Partner goes by "Allari" pronounced like ( Uh-lar-e ) as his nickname/preferred name and wants to pass that down to our daughter for a middle name.. but deep down I hate the idea of it.

I feel like I'm having to struggle coming up with her first name, trying to find anything that "flows" altogether when you say her entire name.. and it's been very hard. names I already had in mind and liked previously automatically were out the window. UPDATED: We picked Lorelei as her first name, but still struggling with the middle name.

To be fair, I will mention she's going to take my last name instead of his (Eubanks) so I think it's only fair to respect his wishes, and I know deep down he probably wanted a boy.. I'm just so frustrated..

Am I the ***hole? I just want him to be somewhat creative. My first thought wasn't just, hey let me just give her my name so I don't have to think much about it.
