Red flag? Anyone else?

I matched with this guy on Bumble three days ago and he’s constantly talking about how he can spoil me. Having a man spoil me does not impress me and him constantly saying that has me thinking red flag and to stop speaking to him. Does anyone else agree with me or am l thinking about this the wrong way?

Wanting to spoil someone you love is great. Wanting to spoil someone youve never met sounds like a manipulation tactic, like I do for you so youll do for me 🙅‍♀️

Doesn't matter what anyone but you thinks. If your gut is telling you something is off then it  probably is. Trust your gut. And I'm with you, if a guy brags about how much he could spoil me it would be a turn off. I am strong and independent and I want someone to admire that not keep me reliant on him

Maybe he’s had the misfortune of matching with women who are impressed at being told a man intends to spoil them. There are lots of women out there that place emphasis on what a man can do for them, take them on trips, buy them stuff, take them to Michelin star restaurants, etc. He may think this is what all women want.

I would find that awkward... It sounds a little more transactional than I'm okay with before a relationship is more established. 
I like to spoil people too, but it's a little weird to just advertise it before you know a person... seems like a trap.
