My mother in law and I have complicated relationship. She tells my husband she likes me but it feels like she doesn’t because of how she acts. My husbands family plans a yearly girls beach trip and in the 8 years we’ve been married I’ve been invited twice. I went last year and I thought everyone had a great time and I asked my mother in law if we were going again this year and she said no we aren’t planning on doing anything this year but it turns out she is currently at the beach and so is most of my husbands family. My husband asked her why I wasn’t invited and she said it’s because she was upset with us that we went on a Disney trip with my parents. The trip was a Christmas gift from my parents. Am I wrong for getting my feelings hurt I wasn’t invited?
