What milk to give to toddler?

Okay so I’m a FTM, I know at age of 1 babies shouldn’t have formula & should have regular milk. I’ve seen this does anybody recommend it? Is it better to give regular milk to my child or should I look into this? Should I ask this to the pediatrician or is it based on moms preference? Sorry if it’s a silly question.

Most pediatricians will recommend regular whole milk unless your child has a medical reason to be on toddler formula. I’ve been told toddler formulas are just a way the formula companies try to make more money…unless they are a medical necessity to a child.

Toddler formulas are a money grab unless your child has a medical need for it and you would probably already know if they did. 
Regular milk is fine and offer a wide variety of food (but don’t be surprised if your toddler stars to only eat their favorites). If they’re not a fan of drinking milk offer cheese and yogurt for calcium, fat, and vitamins.

It’s not like shouldn’t have formula but more like cow’s milk / goat milk can be introduced.
With my first I used formula up to 2 and a half years for the added vitamins but she had cows milk too and of course all different veggies and fruits.
With my second after 1 year I slowly introduced cow’s milk because of the cost of formula 🙈

I kept giving regular infant formula until my son would drink whole milk. He was probably 13 months. His pediatrician was done with it because he was so small and didn’t care for table foods.

We switched to cow’s milk at 12 months. She loved yogurt and cheese at that time so I wasn’t worried about her dairy intake plus yogurt is a probiotic. I also made sure she ate low mercury fish once a week for DHA/EPA and plenty of iron rich foods. Citrus fruits are high in Vitamin C as well as broccoli, bell peppers, kiwi and cantaloupe. The only supplement I had her on was vitamin D.

We did regular milk. Sometimes almond milk too, just depends. We tried toddler formula because I had a free can and she hated it. We also tried a ready to feed because the doctor had it out in the check out area, but she hated that too.
