Nuvaring

So I started the Nuvaring 2 months ago. I just inserted it again after leaving it out for 7 days and during those days I've gotten my period. Before Nuvaring, I would only bleed for 7 days exact. But now, even when I get off my period.. I would still need to use a panty liner because I would still be spotting brownish blood. Is this normal? When can I expect for this to stop or go away? TIA!
