Abortion pill failed/ aspiration experience HELP

Hey girls I just went in for a check up to see if the pregnancy passed with the abortion pills and it looks like the abortion pill worked/failed. I went in and they said there is no viable fetus but that I still have the sac attached. That technically it’s still a pregnancy? I will be going in on Friday for an aspiration. I just want to know if it’s painful? They said that I can opt in for a sedative to relax. But I want to hear from any of you ladies what was your experience. Was it painful? With or with out medication? Please I have kept this to myself but I will have a friend with me that day. I’m just super nervous. I’m confused as to how this happened. I heard the pill was super effective and I took it as soon as I found out I was pregnant. At the time that I took it I was around 3-4 weeks along.
