Get a baby swing, bouncer, or both??

Question

I’m shopping for my august baby and idk if a swing is worth it? Or a bouncer? Both? I’m happy to get it if y’all recommend it!! As a ftm I just don’t know what is useful. Let me know what your baby liked and if there are specific products that worked well for you! Thanks :))

My daughter does NOT care for bouncers.
Her swing (swings side to side or back and forth) she loves! She still uses it at 9.5 months old (she’s tiny and only 16lbs!)! 
I do have a bouncer/rocker/seat combo and I did use it when she was a newborn quite often. She occasionally still uses to relax while in the bathroom with me.  I’m glad I got a bouncer that turns into a rocker and toddler chair! The bouncer part is never used! Lol

I used a swing and honestly still do sometimes at 6 months. Super useful for when you need to get some stuff done but baby needs to relax or have a distraction. Also during the newborn days he would sleep and sleep and sleep in that thing he loved it.

We personally have both! The swing is def her favorite right now, and my girl only enjoys the bouncer when the vibration is on and I’m actively bouncing it some 😅 but that may change as she gets bigger and more active lol
We have a babytrend bouncer and a Franco swing I believe neither are anything fancy but they get the job done.

Our baby wasn’t into the swing but loved the bouncer and it was a great place to put him down safely for a while too! This time we also got a mommaroo for free on Facebook marketplace- so we’ll see if the new baby likes that!

I used both but for maybe 3 months or so. My oldest though hated the swing. I’d say get them second hand or borrow them from someone

Some parents will tell you they all aren't safe. Personally a rocker/automatic swing chair worked well and was a lifesaver in the first months. Just remember to do tummy time and allow your kid to not stay in them all of the time. They can cause flat spots.

I got both off Facebook marketplace. People get them for their babies and end up having a baby that hates it or it stays at grandma’s house, so they’re basically brand new. I spent $10 on the baby swing and got a bouncer for free and both look like they’ve never been used.

My girls hated the swing we had. It swayed side to side which might have been why they didn’t like it. They both loved their bouncer chair though. I got the fisher price portable swing this time that swings front to back. I’m hoping baby likes this one. If you have space and can afford both then I would get both. The bouncer chairs are definitely more portable to move around the house too.
