Now that the glucose test is done...
I'm going to sleep the day away! These darn tests always wipe me out! At my first prenatal appointment, my midwife had me do a one hour test. It came back abnormal. Then I had to do the 3 hr follow up test. That came back normal.
Today was my 28 week glucose test and rather than doing the one hour and possibly followed by the three hour, they just had me go ahead and do the 3 hour test. Omg it was miserable.
But today is the day I became very thankful for my Centering Class (2 hour prenatal checkup appointments, in group form) because they had a bed! So after every blood draw I could lay down on the belly checking bed. It made the test SO MUCH more bearable. Without that I would have just had to sit in the lab for 3 hours. Sitting still made me sick to my tummy, but being on my side really kept things normal.
