So my boyfriend put in an application at a duplex and there was only 1 other person that has applied. He doesn't have the best credit because there's a phone on it but no bad renters history, no utilities on his credit as I said just a phone. he's always paid on time etc and or paid ahead. The lady said all he really needs is a rental verification done by the previous apartment complex he's lived at. What does the rental verification normally consist of. He also had 10,000 for rental insurance so if anything was messed up once he left they could repair it and with what he told me nothing was damaged.

Do they just ask if he's paid up on time?
