New job - what to do!!

Okay guys I’ll try to keep this short. I have a 2.5 year old and am having a new baby next month. I work part time right now in a small credit Union - well my branch is small but the company is quite large.

I just applied for a position working at home, I will keep all of my benefits and my pay and hours. The job will be less demanding and I won’t have to deal quite so one on one with the public. The only issue is that what I’m making now is technically more than they wanted to pay for this position Because of the nature of the work at home job, and how much I’ll be making when I start this position, I won’t be eligible for raises like I would staying in a branch. I will get an annual cost of living raise, but in the branch I get a performance based raise and the annual raise as well.

Eventually I want to not be working at all - so I don’t want to be making so much money that I can’t leave my job because we would be down so much. But at this stage of my life the higher pay would really help.

The issue with staying in the branch is that I can’t stand my new supervisor. She’s completely incompetent and so so rude to people and I often have to correct her mistakes after the fact. I’ve had this job for 10 years and never wanted to leave but I often come home irritated and upset over things and I’d rather not bring that home with me and I’ve thought more and more about leaving the company completely since she started but I carry the insurance as we can’t afford it through my husbands company.

I never thought I would work from home, I actually don’t know if I’d be okay being cooped up at home all the time either…. Some days it’s really nice to get out of the house and come to work, and other days I hate coming in.

Ahhh help a girl out!! Would you stay in your current position or take the new one??
