Water Broke 35 weeks
I had come home from a long day of walking around the park with the kids and my water broke, or so I thought, and I was having consistent contractions. Went into L&D to be checked and was dilated to 1.5cm, 50% effaced. Midwife had told me that my water had been punctured but didn’t fully rupture. They preformed an ultrasound to check fluid levels and it came back at a 10. After keeping me for 6 hours and monitoring me, they ended up sending me home. Is this normal? I thought that if there was any premature rupture of membranes that they were supposed to keep you because of the chance for infection.. Any info?
