Visitors after delivery?

How are you guys feeling with protecting your baby against Covid after delivery. I really don’t want anyone to visit and I just it’s going to make people upset but that is what I think I have to do. Opinions? Advice ?

i don’t want anyone visiting my home for 2 weeks-1 month if they really want to see him my hospital is allowing 3 visitors at a time i would rather them visit there so i know for a fact they’re washing and sanitizing im only 19 so everyone thinks they can walk all over me and my rules and im already being told i’m “doing to much” like what im sorry? washing your hands before holding baby is the BARE MINIMUM

I’m not letting anyone visit. Nobody has been in my home since COVID started, I’m high risk for complications or death with COVID.
People being upset about boundaries you set will almost always happen, but that’s not your responsibility. Your responsibility is taking care of yourself and your child, whether others agree with how you do it or not.

My husbands mom really wants to come see the baby right after she’s born but we’ve decided no visitors for two months :( I would be more lenient if they weren’t traveling across the country via plane but I’m just too nervous with so much travel and people not wearing masks nowadays. Half of my family isn’t vaccinated and they live 30 min away, we don’t think we are going to see them all until baby can get vaxed for Covid. Hoping the 6 month vax comes out soon. It’s too scary, not just Covid but all the germs and sickness in general. Just try your best!!

It's not just covid I'm worried about. It's also RSV, the flu, any type of germs or anything since baby wont be protected against anything without her first shots. I won't be letting anyone really see my babe until she gets her first shots. Before then. Itll be my mom, my husband, my dad and that's about it. I already have family mad at me because I am not going to their birthdays and other family events before then and they dont really understand I'm not okay with bringing my baby around large crowds and risking HER health for something like that. I'm just not. Once she has her shots I'll start becoming a little more lenient however she still wont be around some people like my sister and her fiance who both work in a adult care facility as training cnas so they really dont know about all the protocols and the things they can bring home on their clothing/ shoes etc. I have family who doesnt know boundaries and will try to kiss my baby as they tried with my son, I'm scared of herpes and things like that so they wont see her either. It's just alot to deal with. In the first 2 or 3 weeks of her life the ONLY one seeing her will be my husband myself my son and my mother and that's it. I want my first couple of weeks of recovery to be non stressful.
