I am a 25 year old Haitian female. I live with my sister and my mom but it's my sister's house. A month ago I told my sister that I was planning a trip to Wisconsin. I live in Florida By the way.I told my sister about it twice and all she said was "have you asked your mom yet?" 2 weeks ago I told my mom and she said she forbade me to go. Remind you now I'm 25 years old. A week ago my brother came over to help me with something and basically we had an hour conversation all 4 of us. They were very upset with me and said that I should have made the decision with them. They were upset that I had already purchased my ticket. And insinuated that I basically needed permission/ approval to go. My mom stated that I don't respect her even though I told them who I was gonna be with and what I what I was gonna do. I got very upset and cried because I was frustrated with them suffocating me like they've been doing all my life. It's a 6 day trip and I've never been on vacation by myself before. That conversation has made me realize that I need to move out as soon as I can. I just need to save some money. I would like your opinions please. Ask any questions you need.
