Mirena bleeding - embedded, expelled or miscarriage?
Hey all -
I’ve been bleeding since 5/16/22, with the exception of a three day span, and it’s not my normal once-every-three-months-period that I can get by with a single pad or light sized tampon. It’s A LOT heavier. I’ve had this Mirena for 26 months (I had my first from 04/2016-08/2018), and had no issues. I had the normal bleeding after insertion at my 8 wk pp check for like 4-5 months. I’m currently slightly cramping on either side, mainly on the top of my pubic bone. I’ve taken six pregnancy tests, all which appear to be negative, but took the first after the bleeding started back up again on 06/04/22. Bleeding mainly looked like coffee grounds, no real clots, but today I had a decent sized clot…. I had a chemical pregnancy back in 11/2018, but I’ve never miscarried otherwise. I don’t even know if that’s what this is from, and I don’t get in to see my OB until Monday for an ultrasound to make sure my IUD hasn’t moved or embedded itself. Has anyone had this happen? Anyone know what this might be? Sorry for the photos, but I feel they provide some help to explain the situation….
