Ultrasound theory?

I've heard there's a theory from looking at the ultrasound you can tell if it's a girl or boy.. What does my scan show? Also has this theory worked for anyone?

It worked for me!! In fact in our first US our Ob/gyn (also a friend) said she thought it was a girl due to the theory and her experiences. But said to wait until 9 week to be more certain. And at 9 weeks she said "I've only been wrong 2x, but I'm betting money this is a girl all the way" The following weeks she just kept confirming it was indeed a girl... And now we have a 20month old princess. So some doctors rely on this and other don't but in our case it worked. GL

If the placenta is on the left it's a girl, if it's on the right it's a boy.
