Is dating okay while in the divorce process?

Me and my husband have been separated for about 4 months now, but we have been physically and emotionally drained from our 7 year marriage for quite sometime now. . I filed for divorce about 3 weeks ago because he was verbally abusive and a narcissist. Im just waiting on a court hearing. I just know the process can take a while. Is it okay if I start dating again? Or is it morally wrong to date?

I had no desire to date while going through my divorce. I didn't date until a year after it was finalized. The though of starting a new chapter before ending the current one didn't feel right to me. When I did start dating I just could not justify entertaining a man who was still legally married. Many people do date while going through a divorce and if you feel okay about it, go for it. If you're not mentally or emotionally ready, there's nothing wrong with waiting and getting to know yourself again without the soon to be ex.

My divorce took three years to finalize because of some arguments over division of assets. My now-husband and I had moved in together before I was legally divorced. Nobody sued me, slandered me, jailed me, etc. and my second husband and I eventually became happy parents of two girls. Maybe I’ll go to hell for it but we’ll see (lol)
