When did you first use a tampon after giving birth?

I’m 6 weeks and 1 day postpartum. I seen my OB at 4 weeks. But they don’t do a 6 week appointment. So I kinda don’t know when I can. My stitches are done and healed. But I’m still bleeding, pretty heavy.

At my 6 wk appointment, I asked (I asse a cup, but well a tampon goes in also). I was told that I can use it now or whenever I get my period back.
It took me 5-6months for period to come back, so used my cup.

Did your bleeding lighten up and now it is heavy again (could be you period returning) or your pp bleeding never lightened up (it should start to get lighter around 3 or 4 weeks pp, if yours didnt, it's worth a call to your dr)

I used pads my first couple postpartum periods because they were very light for me. I started using a cup again when they got a little more heavy which was probably my 3rd or 4th pp cycle

I did at 12 weeks PP when I got my first PP period.

I tried at 8w pp but it was uncomfortable. 
They were comfortable by my next period at 12w.
