Why does it hurt when I have a let down?
It seems every part of my breastfeeding journey so far has been painful.. I keep telling myself it will get better and powering through.. here we are almost 4 weeks later, it still hurts every time she latches despite being told she is latching well. Everytime I get a cold breeze or I hear her cry or I even THINK about if she's hungry, I have a let down which stings! Why does it hurt?? It's a sharp stinging pain, it literally feels like I'm being pricked by a hundred pins running down my breasts towards my nipples. Is this normal? Is any of this normal? Should it still hurt me to breastfeed? I love being able to feed my baby from my body but it's really starting to take a toll on me. Also, I'm no longer always engorged (thankfully) but my breasts always feel bruised and are sooo sore. When does this stop?
