Have you ever had pain in your kidneys that went away on its own?

I think i have some type of pain in my kidneys. I was in pain trying to get comfortable going to sleep and napping. I looked up the location and my kidneys are right where the pain is. It feels like intense cramps on my sides, my stomach and my back wrapped around my body. I also think i have a UTI, which i havent had in a long time. But ive been trying to drink water. Now that i feel pain near my kidneys im scared and am going to drink water to help flush out the infection.
