Do Slos and Down symptom look the same?

My NIPT is 1% rate for DS, however my second blood test was positive with SLOS. All screenings during my pregnancy were normal. When my baby was born, doctor did not mention about DS. He said my baby is okay. My baby does not have heart problem or any body deformities. My son has slight to mid hearing loss both ears. 
We take him to check up every 2,3 months, and again pediatric doctor does not mention if he has Down or not.
I’m confused before I think we can find out baby has DS or not after birth immediately. 
I am so freaking out because sometimes some of my relative asks me privately does my son has DS? I really not sure. My son reach’s all his milestones. He can walk when he was 1 year old, he knows waving, shake his hand when I say Hello or ByeBye. He know how to use straws to drink water, use his hand to put food in mouth. He talks cha cha, da da, va va, sometime he talks a lots but I do not understand.
I decided to do genetic test for my baby. He done with his blood test in May 10. Now we are waiting for the result. 
He is almost 14 months now.

So at birth, there might be markers that trigger a genetics test. It sounds like your son was negative for those markers. In terms of bloodwork during pregnancy, those are screenings— they are not diagnostic. SLOS can also only be diagnosed prenatally via amnio or CVS, not a maternal blood sample… again, that was a screening that likely just showed elevated risk. Your son likely did not present with any of these signs and symptoms, which is why they did not pursue further testing. It sounds like he feeds well, has normal muscle tone and does not have any of the physical characteristics or DS or SLOS. You will get your certain answer when his test results come back. Good luck!

My oldest has DS. I see no markers in what you describe or in his features. I don't think the people asking you if your son has DS are very experienced in what they're talking about.

Aww what a cutie! I personally dont think he looks like he has it but it can be hard to tell based on features alone. Id definitely wait until the tests come back but either way hes so handsome and sounds like hes doing amazing developmentally!

When I was a baby, people would ask my mom if I had DS. I do not. I do have a learning disability though.
