My hubby doesn't like one of my friends. No big deal right? Well, it is. Because every time I go out with her it's a huge fight and he makes sparky comments. I don't understand what his deal is. I've asked and he says "I just hate her, she's trash".

All I ask of him is to respect my choice, and not to argue with me when I decide to hangout with her.

Long story short, she is due to have her son any time now. She wants me there with her, otherwise she will be alone (her babies father is a piece of work and won't be there) my hubby isn't happy about the idea and it has been nothing but stress and bullsh*t since he found out.

He said to me yesterday that it wasn't my place or responsibility to be there for her and if I'm going to he there, then she can come be with me when I have our son (I'm 20 weeks) so that he doesn't have to miss time from work. I think that comment was cold and unnecessary.

What would you do in this situation?

Would you go be there for your friend anyway, and risk you hubby not being there for you when you need him?

I don't know the seriousness behind the comment, but it was quite hurtful.

Edit - this is not my first child.

Thanks for the input everyone! It seems I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't, because he always has something negative to say about everyone that I hangout with/talk to. It's honestly sickening.
