My brother had his appendix rupture and required immediate surgery. He went into the ER and straight to the OR. There were complications with his breathing during his surgery and he almost died so they kept him for 24 hour observation.

They tell the nurse and doctors that he has a lactose allergy. They made sure to tell it to everyone they could. Nobody wrote it down and they brought him food that had milk in it and actual milk to drink.

He told them he couldn’t eat it and he said he felt bad but apparently his lactose problem is so bad he will shit blood and he didn’t want to do that while having holes in his guts.

So they tell them and ask again to have food brought to him. He waited all day. He was on a strictly liquid diet and I was called and asked to bring dairy free soups and juices.

Me bringing him food is the only reason he got to eat. They never replaced his original dinner and didn’t even bother to bring him breakfast this morning. They just checked him out, and he said “y’all do know nobody ever brought me food even though I asked a lot of for it and I had to have my sister bring me food so I could eat?”

All he got was a “sorry.” And was sent home. They want to call someone and make all of this known, but who do they call?
