My FET is scheduled next cycle — yay! — and so I’m on the birth control pill now to supposedly help my ovaries rest and my hormones go back to normal after all the egg retrieval meds messed them up. I’ve been taking the pill at exactly the same time every night and haven’t forgotten once.

Well, two days ago I started bleeding and it’s still going on today. It’s like heavy spotting/light period and rust-colored. No clots, but I do need to wear a light pad.

My doctor is having me double up on the birth control pill until the bleeding stops, and then back to single doses until the 23rd which is when I was always meant to stop the pill. So far, the bleeding hasn’t let up. Has anyone experienced this before?

I’m worried that this is a sign my hormones aren’t back to normal and BCP might not even be helping. I really want to do the transfer this month and I fear this will prevent that from happening!
