Traveling (abroad) for IVF??

Question

For anyone who traveled for IVF, how exactly do you plan your flights around your period? My cycle is normally 27 days but can be anywhere from 22 to 29 days so how do I plan my flight and my stay there? Just hope my cycle comes right on time? How long were you in your location if you traveled? We are planning to be there for 2 weeks

I done my ivf abroad, they never put me on the pill as the other woman said on this thread, but they tracked when I needed to be at their clinic with regular scans in the UK for follicle growth, as soon as I got my period, I booked a scan for the next day or two, then again on day7/8 then they told me what date they would like me to be there for which was around day 16 for me I think! So I didn’t have long to book the flights but you can be as prepared as you can be and you will have the approx dates so shouldn’t be too much of a shock/hassle! 
I went to NEWLIFE clinic at Greece and couldn’t recommend them enough!

They put you on the pill to control your cycle when doing ivf. It would be impossible to work around varying cycles of so many payients so they get them all in sync so they can do all retrievals in one week each month. 
You'll go on the pill until a certain date timed so your period comes 2 weeks before retrieval week. Then they'll track your follicle growth to time which day of the week to retrieve the eggs.
