Anyone else get upset when family members pop up at your house unexpectedly ?

Cause I sure do 😩 my husbands family does that all the time & honestly I get super pissed bc the times family members had popped up I was in my underwear ! I told my husband to mention it to his mom & she got all pissed about it … thinking we don’t want them over .. it’s not that it’s the fact that we can be doing something & it’s embarrassing on our part ..

That’s extremely rude of them honestly even more so with her attitude . She’s kinda right in a way  , if you wanted company you would have invited them LOL . I would be upset . I agree next time don’t answer the door .

Oh my goodness, nobody ever shows up at my house without letting me know! Even my parents call and make sure it's okay! We're hermits here, and we like our routine, and if it's going to be changed it's because we allowed it, not because someone decided they wanted to come over without letting us know!

My MIL showed up at dinner time when we first got married. She grabbed herself a plate and ate most of the food. I only made enough for two people. She then proceeded to say how hungry she was and that I should have made more…..
I was only 22 and wanted to keep the peace. She knows she can’t get away with that anymore!

Happens to me all the time and the thing my hubby does is shoot me a text the last minute saying run to the room and put clothes on before he opens the door, we have guests…. I’m always in undies and a shirt… lol sooo comfy plus we hardly get guests… it’s just those days when they suddenly want to pop in 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I don’t really get mad just need a warning cuz I’d be soo embarrassed to flash them…

Luckily my oldest brother has his doors open for everyone, so they all do that to him and not me 🤣 (everyone has a key)

It does but that being said cam sometimes depend on family member like my mum if she turns up unexpectedly she IS aware of that and won't do it for no reason but explain why and then not comment if I'm in pj's or if front room is a bit untidy. If my partners mum did it...could be for no reason and she'll stare qt whatever she perceives as unclean qnd even offer to help sort it

no one comes over without calling and planning. That's rude, they need to respect and give you privacy. Good lord.
