Why Mobile?

With gas prices on the rise, what is the perk of getting gas from Mobile? It always seems more expensive but will still have customers 
South of Boston MA today, side by side location:
Gulf $4.49
Mobile $5.29

I think some people will go to their favorite gas station no matter sometimes until they hit their breaking point.

We have a car through salary sacrifice (the finance and all running costs get paid for out of my husband's pay cheque before income tax) and using that program we have to fill up at a specific brand (BP). Even when the fuel is more expensive, we save money on his income tax. Could be something like that.

I used to work for a company that gave out speedpass payment cards for a specific chain (exxon?) when you'd drive a company car.  Unless you wanted the hassle of filling out a reimbursement form, it was easier to just use the right gas station.  Or maybe it's just people that get points or have it linked to their grocery card or something.

Do they have any kind of rewards program there? That might be why. It could just be a loyalty or familiarity thing too. Could be fantastic service. Or, some people just may not be struggling as much and don't feel a need to switch.

I refuse to even use Mobil lol. I will only go to quick trip, sam’s club, or racetrack

Wait what, there's almost a $1 difference between gas stations that are right beside each other? 
Is Mobile ethanol free? We have a gas station here that is always more expensive but its because the only offer ethanol free gas.

It’s $8.95 a gallon in uk for diesel! Think I need to be living in us to save money! Cost of living is rough!
