COVID…
I’m pretty upset. I was so careful this whole time and my boss found out on Monday he was exposed and then tested positive. I worked closely with him (both wearing masks) for about 1.5 hours. I started getting a sore throat last night and went to urgent care this morning and found out I’m positive. I’m vaccinated and boosted but not since Nov. I wish they had approved a second booster for pregnant women.. I’m currently 25+5.
My OB office said I need to get treated by my primary, who’s off today and apparently the on-call MD won’t talk to me. I’m afraid she’s not going to be very familiar with COVID in pregnancy and I don’t know what the real protocol is. I see people talking about baby aspirin, but it’s not on the cdc website or anything.. so I’m thinking she’s not going to recommend it. I don’t want to take something without a doctor’s approval though.
So far I just have a sore throat and slight cough bc of it (and tired bc I didn’t sleep at all last night). The urgent care told me to go to the ER if I get a fever above 100 and to get rest and call my primary..
What should I be asking my primary about when I speak to her tomorrow?
