Tablet or surgical procedure for miscarriage?

Just been told today I’ve miscarried at 10 weeks and need to discuss options tomorrow, does anyone have any experience which one they would recommend?
This will be my second miscarriage this year, the first one just happened naturally so I didn’t need any intervention.

This is my experience if it helps at all. I had a miscarriage on june 2. It was my first pregnancy. I chose the medication first, because it was less invasive. I took two doses and it’s not a pleasant experience. It’s quite painful, but more or less manageable with over the counter pain meds. 
About a week later after I took the medication, after my bleeding had stopped, I started getting really bad cramps, and body chills/fever. It turns out the medication didn’t fully work. So I ended up at the hospital and got a d&c on June 18. At that point I was given the choice of taking the medication a third time but I chose not to, since I had very little bleeding even with the second dose, so there were no guarantees a third dose would work. I was also tired of being in pain and suffering (both physically and emotionally) for 3 weeks. 
I think most women are able to pass all the tissue after two doses, I happened to be in the not so lucky category. 
Looking back i don’t think I would choose differently. I was really scared of the risks of the D&C, and I think I would still choose the medication first. 
I will give it to the d&c however, that at least you know everything is taken care of, and you know it’s done. The nurse in emergency was so lovely, she shared with me that she had had a d&c and had taken the medication and she now has two lovely healthy kids. That made me feel more at ease. She was so helpful and supportive. I was by myself in making this decision since they didn’t allow a support person with me into the ER. It was really hard. 
After both procedures/methods I’ve been having a hard time getting over the whole hospital situation. I still have nightmares about it, or wake up in a state of panic. But I was so scared, and so miserable. I just wanted to put the whole experience behind me, but the whole miscarriage felt like a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from. So I think it was just a combination of things. I think if I had chosen the D&c I wouldn’t be having these issues. It just all felt very much out of my control, from losing the baby, to the way it all ended up unfolding. 
So I don’t know if I have a specific advice for you. There really isn’t a right or wrong choice. I don’t think I’d chose differently, but I would be more aware now of what I’m looking for with the medication and probably book a D&c sooner, rather than having to end up in emergency.
