Bad fallopian tubes

Nikki

So I was seeing a fertility specialist for about a year. My husband and I were trying for 3 years to get pregnant and were unsuccessful. After doing some testing I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. My husband and I did 6 IUIs that were also unsuccessful, so I decided that it was time to look into IVF. We had to see a different doctor in a different clinic for IVF because the clinic I was going to does not do IVF. After doing more testing, I found out that I have bad fallopian tubes and will not be able to get pregnant naturally. My new Dr. wants me to have surgery to remove my fallopian tubes because she is afraid that they will cause problems for me trying to get pregnant with IVF. She also made the comment that my previous Dr. should have sent me to them sooner because they had put a note in my chart saying that they suspected that my left fallopian tube may be bad. With all that said, I am angry, sad, frustrated and confused. How could someone put another person through being broken hearted 6 times? I am at a loss and super scared that I will never get this baby that my husband and I have been trying 5 years to conceive.

Has anyone been through anything like this? Was IVF successful? Am I going to do all this for nothing?
