Should you have miscarriage at home or go to dr?

My doctor is aware I’m likely in the early stages of a miscarriage 
I can’t remember what she told me but I thought she said it’s up to me where I have it?
Am I supposed to have the miscarriage at home or go to ER? 
Or do I have it at home then go to dr after? I have an appt tomorrow with dr. Can I just wait for that if the miscarriage occurs today as long as I feel ok at home?

If your not bleeding really heavy or passing huge clots (2 or more) then stay home, unfortunately there’s nothing the hospital can do for you….I hemorrhaged really bad and was loosing huge clots one after another and I still stayed home 🤦🏽‍♀️ I probably shouldn’t have but I knew they couldn’t do anything for me and I didn’t want to take a valuable bed or there time up 😬 I’m so sorry your going through this x

You're okay to be at home if you'd like. Watch for large amounts of bleeding like 2 maxi pads an hour or more for 2 or more hours, large clots that are bigger than a golf ball or extreme pain. Or if something just doesn't feel right you can go in. If you want it tested make sure to save any tissues.

Home and follow up with OB to make sure your hcg trends down to 0. Unless your soaking an overnight pad an hr or are in extreme pain avoid the er. They cant do anything for you

Something I can’t see anyone mentioning is that you might want painkillers. I had a miscarriage in week 10 once and it was very painful.

I’ve had three, all at home. Trust me, you will want to be in the comfort of your own home when it happens. I’m so sorry you have to go through this. After it happens, you shouldn’t be in any physical pain. ❤️

I chose to have mine at home. Where I was comfortable, content and in familiar surroundings with my husband by my side. I refused to go to the hospital unless it was an emergency. I didn't want to put myself through an ER visit when I know they won't do anything at all. At the most I would be hooked up to IVs and given unnecessary meds, in more pain than necessary from it all. I wouldn't be comfy. I wouldn't have privacy. It feel as if it is like an awful experience to have a miscarriage in a hospital if you have the option to be home.
