Is it true pregnant women can’t sit in a jacuzzi ?

Whats the reason why pregnant women can’t sit in a jacuzzi? But I’m assuming it’s okay to soak myself in a warm bath? I have hemorrhoids and soaking myself in a warm bath helps a lot.

A jacuzzi keeps the water temperature at a steady temperature and is more likely to raise your body temperature where a bathtub slowly cools over time. But your bath water shouldn’t be too hot that it raises your body temperature either, like you shouldn’t feel hot or flushed after getting out of the tub.

The jacuzzi may elevate your temp too high posing a risk to the baby since it keeps the water at a stead temp for the duration you're in there. With my last pregnsncy I had a hot tub and my ob said I could use it if I turned the water temp down to like 70 degrees. You can take a warm or even a hot bath as the water doesn't stay the same temp and will get cooler as time passes. As long as you're not starting to sweat or your skin is turning red you'll be fine

My mom used to tell me not to sit in a jacuzzi because I would cook my baby 🤣🤣 I don’t do it because I can’t get that out of my head, but it has something to do with the water temp.

It's  because of the temp. I can't remember off the top of my head but my OB told me if I kept our hot tub down a certain degree before getting in that I'd be fine, and I definitely did enjoy every second of it! I just can't remember now!! I'd talk to your ob about it.
