How to cleanse after period??

How do I cleanse my vagina after my period?

For the past 3 days after my period this month, I have seen brown spotting after using the bathroom. I checked myself in the shower and there were clots still with the brown. There was no odor or anything.

I know that Brown is old blood but I have never seen it before and I'm not sure why it's been happening for this long. There wasn't anything abnormal for me during this menstrual cycle.

Is there a way to get rid of the old blood?

Is there something gentle that I can use or have to insert into my vagina to make sure that all of the old blood is cleared out??
