Is your baby in a swaddle or sleep sack?

My baby will ONLY sleep in a swaddle. We have tried everything in terms of transitioning- Merlin’s sleep suit, zippadeezip, one arm out, cold turkey to sleep sack, and on and on. His arms are wild and he just doesn’t sleep. He doesn’t roll from front to back yet but he’s close. Helpppppp.

Technically you still have time. They just need to be out by the time they are rolling back to front, not front to back. With both of my girls we transitioned by taking one arm out and at first wake up putting both arms in. We slowly started keeping an arm out for most of the night until she made it all night. We switched arms every few days. Then we swaddled just her middle (we used the olli swaddle with velcro) and then switched to a sleep sack by 9 weeks. She was showing signs of rolling back to front and was very close and then she got rsv and stopped caring about rolling but does amazing in her sleep sack now at 16 weeks.

Omg this was literally me last night.it was the worst.  mu daughter is 13 weeks and only sleeps swaddled with hands in. last night we tried it without and I literally got no sleep. my husband had to call off work🤦🏼‍♀️

I never swaddled my daughter during naps  only at night. I think that made a huge difference. she's 3 1/2 months old now and doesn't use a swaddle at night anymore

My daughter is still in the swaddle but she does the one arm out thing. She sometimes pushes both her arms out but then wakes herself up when her arms move lol I think its all within thr normal range. You could try one arm out during a nap or as hes waking up to maybe get him used to it?

Have you tried the dreamland weighted swaddle? It’s a swaddle on the inside and weighted sleep on the outside! We have the sleep sack because due to her side the swaddle wouldn’t last her long but the first days i swaddled her with one arm in and put her in her sleep sack, not the safest i know but she sleeps in the crib up against my bed. I would highly recommend dreamland!!!

I bought the nested bean weighted sleep sack and my babies arms are always moving and waking her up! I just went back to the swaddle.

Using a zipadee zip she doesn’t like her arms out and it’s the only thing that’s working
