Monistat 7 vaginal cream suppository… is it safe first trimester? I’m really feeling concerned over some of the things I’ve read. Even the package says if pregnant, ask provider before use.

Monistat 7 is the one they most recommend during pregnancy.  I was told to avoid the oral canestan pill and use monistat 7 instead. You can always talk to the pharmacist or call your doctor/OB to confirm it's ok for you personally.

My ob and my midwife have both recommended monistat 7 during pregnancy and that it is safe to take in Any trimester. I had a yeast infection every month while pregnant with my daughter and each time they said to take Monistat 7. The package has to provide that statement because it's unethical to conduct studies on pregnant women. You're best bet is to call your doctor and ask them if you're unsure.
