ftm here and unsure what to do about a smelly diaper genie

We always change the poopy bag right away and once a week I spray with lysol. Never has a problem with smell.

This is the one I have and I don't have issues with smell. I regularly replace the baking soda pucks every 3-4 weeks, I spray the inside with Lysol each bag change, and I wipe the whole inside and outside down with Clorox wipes each time we change the bag roll. A few times a year I use a bleach solution to really get it super clean. Plastic absorbs odors so it's important to clean the diaper pail regularly to prevent this regardless of what brand you have.

Don’t sweat it much if you don’t have a diaper genie put them in a bag and throw them in the garbage sealed there will be no smell

I have the same Genie but it only smells when we open it that’s it. Once closed can’t smell a thing we also use the genie trash bags.
