Baby shower questions

When are you guys having your baby showers? I'm due in June so I was thinking maybe April?
Are you planning on keeping it traditional? I want to be involved in planning mine. I have a friend that has volunteered to do it for me but I still want to be a big part of the process.
I also want my SO to be there and invite a couple of his close friends. 
Just wondering what everyone else is planning!!!
