Car Insurance advice!

My partner brought a car a year ago. It's in his name.

I got rid of my car and jumped on his insurance to save parking spaces and money etc.

Well he ran out of car insurance recently. We aren't insured in the car but I keep paying for 2 hours of insurance on a app.

So I'm legally insured it's a legit all that allows you to get quick car insurance from 1 hour to months etc.

BUT, could I still get in trouble? We pay road tax monthly. I'm fine if I'm insured but the car itself wouldn't have insurance?? Surely I could get pulled over by the police?? Even if I'm insured??
