How to schedule c-section

How did you schedule your c -section? I went in for my regular checkup on wed but saw a diff obgyn since mine is on vacation. I told her that we finally decided to do a c-section since I had a c-section with my first. She then wrote down my doctors name and date on the check out form and told me to give it to the front desk on my way out and they will schedule it for me. I gve the form to the front desk and she said all set. I asked her what’s next and she said they have to call the hospital and schedule and soemome will call me. It’s now Friday and I haven’t heard back. Is this a normal procedure to schedule a c-section? And does it take this long?
