Metformin- pcos-regulated period first cycle???

Question

I have recently been told I have pcos by gynecologist. My usual periods last 2-3 weeks every month I get them. She instructed me to start taking them the first day of my period, so I did and it’s now been exactly 7 days since I started and I’m officially done bleeding?! I don’t even know how to feel having a”normal” 7 day period lol. So happy and hopeful this medication will help induce ovulation as well!

Metformin made my cycles 8-9 days to a 4-5 days not as heavy either. I love metformin no issues on it  for nearly 3 years

My doctor told me I could start the first day I was prescribed them. I didn’t have to wait for my period. I really like them! I’m newly on them. As long as you take them with a meal, there’s no issues! At least for me. Good luck on your journey!

Metformin worked for me! I was on 1500mg/day and was ovulating cycle day 16 every month. It was nice! After 6 months of starting it I got pregnant.
