Is my baby too young to go to church?

Hello, everyone. There is something in my mind I haven't find peace with. My son is almost 4 months old who I presented to God already at my church. I feel truly blessed to have him and I'm so grateful to God for him. Of course i want my baby to grow up in church, but I feel church is still quite loud for my baby.My baby has difficulty napping during the day he as it is because he is still very sensitive to noises. It's important to mention i hadnt gone to church until his dedication. I'm really confused on what should I do, my inlaws have already shown concern about me not going to church right after my babies dedication I don't know if I should still go no matter what. What would be the right thing to do? I am a first time mom and i feel my family underestimate my decision as a new mom, which i understand but really I just want to do what's best for my baby. I know it's really important to go to church but I was thinking I could continue watching the live stream for now and eventually go every Sunday. Every child is a blessing and that has definitely made me feel more grateful for God's love and mercy to us I love the Lord and I need understanding and guidance to be a good godly mother. I give glory and praise to you God 🙏 🙌

You should definitely be in fellowship with other believers each week. Livestream church cannot replace that. I have 7 kids and all have been in church as babies, no problem. Maybe you could sit in the back? That way you can sneak out if you need to, maybe it won’t be so loud in the back as well.

Do what is best for your relationship with God.
God wants the best for us all, that includes your child. If it is not good for you and your relationship with God to go to church right now, don’t go. If it is good to go, go.
Your relationship with God is not defined by attending church and in some cases attending church is not the best thing to do.
Let’s pray about it, God will show you the way. Trust that he will and don’t doubt his guidance.

Agree with Kayla, the reason to go in person is for you to know others and be known, so you can be encouraged and share your struggles! If noise is the only concern, we're a big fan of baby headphones over here 🙂

I took my first at 2 months old. I kept him home until he had his first shots and he was born in December. I took my second at 3 weeks I think it was, because it wasn’t fair to keep my toddler home just because he now has a baby sister. I kept her in her carrier covered until service started so no one would touch her. Then I put her back and covered her right before closing prayer so no one could touch her. I definitely didn’t let anyone hold her except my aunt and uncle at church. I’ve had no issues taking my kids to church other than the toddler misbehaving.

Your son is absolutely not too young to go to church.  I was raised up (and still belong to) a Catholic church.  From the moment they come home from the hospital - even before they’re baptized, parents bring their babies to church.  Granted, the number of families coming to church has decreased over the years, but the families I know that have children have bought them to church since they were babies or toddlers.  My brother and I both went to church from the moment our parents bought us home from the hospital as have my 3 nieces who are now 9 1/2, 8, and 5.  Since we couldn’t go to church when I was with my ex-husband, I had my daughter baptized when she was 3 and she’s been attending church with my mom and me since.  My daughter is 17 1/2.
