Postpartum with PCOC
First of all, there is hope ladies 🙂
I am almost 8 weeks pp and I wanted to see how everyone was managing their PCOS after birth? I conceived in September of 2021, but hadn’t had a period since June of 2021. I wasn’t on birth control at the time, but my fiancé and I weren’t necessarily being careful either. I assumed I wasn’t ovulating because I hadn’t and never had a consistent period. Birth control was the only thing that helped me regulate. When off BC, I could go months without a period. I was told conceiving naturally would be hard and I would probably need some sort of intervention if I ever wanted children. The only contributing factor would be that I lost 30lbs over quarantine doing keto. By the time September of 2021 rolled around, I had basically gained most of it back. I have no idea if the stars aligned or I just got extremely lucky, but some how I ended up pregnant.
Anyways… I am assuming I will still have issues with my period because PCOS just doesn’t go away. I am back on BC because I obviously do not want to get pregnant right away. I eventually would like to try again since I am 32 and not getting any younger.
Did anyone get pregnant again? Did your PCOS symptoms change? Were the doctors wrong and I am some type of fertile myrtle? I am just trying to figure out how to navigate this postpartum journey with PCOS.
