Gestational Sac but no baby

I had my first ultrasound last week but the Doctor didn’t see a baby just the GS. Has anyone experienced this before? Was it a possible outcome? This is my 2nd pregnancy but sadly the last one didn’t turn out into a baby I miscarried so I am a bit worried. Any advice
