Anyone else tired of seeing these wish lists where people are asking random strangers for gifts?

My pet peeve is when they say “I’ll gift you back”. Then why don’t you both just buy your own stuff???

I never bother trying it. I don’t really understand the concept other than trying to make a friend? But even then you’re trusting a stranger to gift you after you’ve gifted them. Also what if your gift is more expensive than theirs? I’m not a fan of the whole thing I think the feature is weird but to each their own.

im not necessarily tired of it. i understand peoples circumstances, however there are the appropriate group to post to it. I feel like lol

I didn’t know this was a thing. I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask, but I’m way more worried about my own family and what we need than some random internet person’s stuff. I’ll definitely help out a person in need, but I’d rather bless a person I know or that my friends or family know. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’m glad there are people out there who are more openly generous than I apparently am, lol.
