Putting newborn down for naps?

Anyone having success? What are you doing? I’m breastfeeding and holding him got most naps.. have also done mommaroo and supervised bouncer naps. Help!

Ugh same. He sleeps well at night thankfully but only wants to nap in my arms! No advice just solidarity 😂

I use white noise, swaddle and binky (they get barely likes because he’s breastfed). I bounce and rock him to sleep, if I lay him down I get about a 10-15 min window of sleep haha but if I hold him I can get an hour or more. I use an infant carrier too when I just can’t hold him anymore.
He doesn’t even like the car or swing, so so sad! Lol my daughter was bad at sleeping too but the swing was our saving grace, not this time.

when they cry pick them up and setting them and thenjust keep putting down it’ll be tiring but they will get used to it

If I follow wake windows/sleepy cues super closely, My son will let me lay him down in the crib drowsy at the beginning of his nap. He’ll sleep for like 20-35 min before waking up. Then I have to go back in and rock him/cuddle him for a few min to get him back to sleep. Sometimes he lets me lay him back down and sometimes he doesn’t. Im struggling haha

Lol I have no idea girl. I’m in the same boat. I’ve successfully put mine down for 2 naps 😅 she’ll be a month on Sunday.

I held my son literally 24/7 for the 1st 6 months of his life. If he wasn’t being held he wouldn’t sleep. 
My current newborn is so much more relaxed. I have been able to lay her down for naps. In a newborn boppy and a lounger similar to a dock a tot. She likes to be on her side.

My first was this way! She wasn’t breastfed, but we had to hold her ALOT. For like 4 months. It was brutal. We slowly just started working on naps. I’m not even sure what worked. It was a blur. My second, is also not breastfed, but naps like a champ… like all day… and we’re not sure what’s different. We swaddle her like we did her sister and lay her in the bassinet and she’ll sleep so long we have to wake her back up… she’s 2.5weeks.

My son won't go down when it is too hot. So if I can't help it, I just let him have skin to skin. Otherwise I try to cool him down then he will sleep. Also I swaddle n put him down when he is completely asleep on bad days

After a good feeding I hold and rock my daughter until I know she’s in a deep sleep. When she get in that deep sleep I lay her in her bassinet and she’ll be sleep for hours. I just make sure she full because I know that’s when I take my best naps. Lol.

I do supervised tummy sleep for nap that’s the only way I can get a break from holding him during the day.
