Sweet little Salem had her very first heart surgery today! A little scary, her white blood count and blood pressure are both a little low, but our doctor said it’s not a concern as of right now. They went in with a heart cath and expanded her pulmonary valve, so her little heart won’t have to work as hard now to keep her oxygen up. ❤️ There’s still some obstruction further in her valve but right now they’re waiting for her to gain a little bit of weight before they even consider replacing it entirely with an open heart surgery. Anywho, she’s still our bright eyed little girl! Already back to her energetic and talkative self!
