I feel like my son is always in pain
My son is about 5-6 weeks old right now and it seems that he spends most of the time he is awake just crying. he’s always grunting, flailing his arms, clenched fists, turning red in the face, and crying seemingly like he’s trying to poop or pass gas. Nothing I do helps. I can’t lay him on his back, or hold him on my chest without him kicking or moving side to side. I burp him during and after feedings for a good 20 minutes to make sure all the air is out. Usually he can’t go 5 minutes without crying. During this time even after he’s eaten, he will try sucking on his hand, so I’ll try to give him a pacifier but he knocks it out of his mouth or cries when I do it. If I’m bottle feeding, I’ll try breastfeeding after cause sometimes he likes it for comfort, but then he roots for the breast but then pulls off and on of it. I’ve tried gas drops and gripe water and they don’t help. sometimes even after he’s already pooped, he still acts that way. He seems to be gaining weight just fine, sometimes seems hungry a lot to the point I worry that I’m over feeding. Already drinking 4oz+. I don’t feel that he spits up more than normal. Sometimes it’s chunky, and sometimes liquidy. But it’s never projectile, just runs out. What is wrong?
