Am I overthinking??

Okay so me and this dude have been talking for a while nowww. We met online and we both liked each other and met irl after talking for like 2 months. When we met we did the deed and after he asked me out and of course I said yes!! But now everytime we meet up we kinda just do the deed a lot and then chill he’s never really taken me on a date. And I love spending time with him and we have good conversations over the phone but how do I know he wants me for the right reasons and how do I explain to him that I want more for him without being harsh? Or is this normal in relationships??
